Low Testosterone

Testosterone is a hormone made in the testicles that helps to maintain sperm production, overall sexual function, muscle mass and strength, and bone strength. Urologists at Alaska Medical Specialties utilize state-of-the-art therapies to help maintain or re-attain healthy testosterone levels.

Symptoms of “low T” can include decreased energy, sex drive and / or strength; moodiness or depression; weak erections; and either drowsiness or poor sleep quality. One popular misconception is that only older men experience low testosterone, but it can affect men at any age for a variety of reasons, including injury to the testicles and obesity. The first step is to accurately diagnose the condition.

We have a number of tests to diagnose testosterone levels and several methods for treatment, the primary being medicinal.
