Undescended Testes

Undescended testes (or testicles) in newborn boys is a fairly common condition and is very treatable.

If one or both testes do not descend at or soon after birth, an Institute urologist can use a minimally invasive procedure to move it to its proper place.

Our pediatric urologists usually use laparoscopy to locate the testes in the abdomen and move it into the scrotum. Using laparoscopy allows the doctor to perform the procedure with tiny incisions and a very high degree of accuracy.

The Institute’s pediatric urologists are among the state’s most experienced physicians in treating undescended testes.
